The Heritage Management Organization (Heritage), Greece, is organising a course entitled “Interpretive Writing for Natural and Cultural Heritage“, which will take place in Elefsina, Greece, on 16-20 November 2019. The course is part of Heritage’s regular Executive Leadership Development in Heritage Management workshops.

“Interpretive Writing for Natural and Cultural Heritage” is organised in partnership with Interpret Europe – European Association for Heritage Interpretation, and the course is jointly certified by both organisations. In addition to the 5-day course, there is also a possibility to attend a 3-day course on 16-18 November.

During the 5-day course participants will discover and practice a wide range of techniques to engage readers and master the techniques of interpretive writing. Participants will also have the opportunity to strive to become a Certified Interpretive Writer awarded by Interpret Europe, the European Association for Heritage Interpretation, after successfully completing, and being assessed on, a set of exercises and must attend the full 5-day course. Participants who opt for the 3-day course will receive a certificate from The Heritage Management Organization and a certificate of attendance from Interpret Europe.

The workshop’s instructor, Steven Richards-Price, is an Interpret Europe Training Team member, former Chair of the UK Association for Heritage Interpretation (AHI) and Vice-Chair of Interpret Wales, and a heritage interpreter with many years of practical experience working for natural resources agencies in Wales, UK.
